The key sectors within communities will collaborate in this project in order to advance the utilization of the health data and related information by the agencies under the Ministry of Public Health. Particularly, a quick access to medical records by the health care providers in emergencies can save lives.
For doctors, this health information system will enhance the rapid accessibility to accurate past medical histories of patients; including symptoms, medications and allergies. This ensures immediate and effective actions as well as preventing incomprehensive communication and incomplete information in health needs.
Therefore, the linkage and sharing of health information between the Ministry of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine, Prince of Songkla University is a good start for strengthening Thailand's health system.
